Recreating Jaguar’s legendary C Type Jaguar, Lightweight E Type and the one-off Low Drag Coupe

Welcome to Jaguar Recreations, a division of Concours Sports car Restoration located one hour north of Sydney, Australia. Established in 1993 by Gavin King, Concours Sports car Restoration has earned a world wide reputation for restoring Jaguar XK’s and E Types to the highest possible standard.
In 1999, Gavin was asked by an existing customer if we could build him “something special”. Jaguar’s sensational C Type was the model of choice, but not just any C Type replica, an exact replica of the 1953 Le Mans winning LWT C Type. After a couple of years of research and development, then building, we achieved our goal. We then built the same customer a 1952 production C Type and to date, 5 more C Type’s in various forms. The third C Type we built was driving in some demonstration laps by Sir Stirling Moss at Le Mans in 2003.

Then in 2009, we were asked by another existing customer if we could build him a Low Drag coupe recreation for road use and also a LWTE recreation for track use. Two more challenges and two more achieved. The first Low Drag is of extremely high specification and standard and could be described as a “luxury pack” Low Drag with full interior trimming, air conditioning, fuel injection and much more. This is the first of 4 under construction and alongside the Low Drags are two Lightweight E Type’s.
The final recreation offered by Gavin and the team is an all alloy bodied XK120 or XK140 roadster. The first of these recreations is taking shape now.
Everything is hand made, in house, by the team at Concours Sports car Restoration. We are a small but highly skilled team and have 30+ restorations in progress at any given time along with the ever expanding recreations that’s we build.
